I think this magazine is effective because the image of Kanye West overlaps the name of the magazine to make it stand out. It is very effective the way the jumper that Kanye is wearing is the same colour as the name of the magazine and some of the font. I like how the colours are very bright and bold and stand out.
'The truth hurts KANYE WEST "I AM RAP"' is slanted which draws attention to it as this months issue's main focus is Kanye West.
The grey background makes the colours stand out against it. The magazine only uses the colours blue, pink and black which makes it look more professional and more carefull thought about.

You're right about the colours standing out, and you've noticed the way the main subheading stands out, but why do they make it look professional? Is it that they make it obviously coordinated and designed. What ideas might you choose from this?
